Here are the hourly observations across CT as we approach 4pm on Tuesday.
All in all, it's been a lovely day outside, especially given the mess from this weekend.
Everyone is seeing some good melting with mid-afternoon highs ranging from 40 to 45 degrees.
It's also windy...gusts up to 20-30mph...which actually helps melt the snow even more.
Last night, we remained above-freezing into this morning, but tonight will be colder with most folks back to below-freezing, especially inland where we should easily fall back into the 20s...that means whatever is melting can re-freeze tonight.
We repeat this tomorrow with melting during the day and re-freezing again tomorrow night into Thursday morning, when we also add a couple of inches of snow back to the forecast.
