My front door with snow outside preventing it from opening.

It/s been quite a fascinating week for me as a weather fanatic since Blizzard 2013 started last Friday morning. During early Saturday morning, I was awake for until 2:30 am, I kept looking out the window at my car in the driveway, which was getting more and more buried every few minutes! Then I turned on my police scanner to listen to what was happening and it was just truly amazing, I kept hearing about police cars and ambulances being unable to get through the streets. And it continued, the problem just seemed to be getting worse! At the same time outside my house the town of Hamden snow plow was stuck and couldn't move any more. I watched him just sit there stuck. A while later a pay-loader came by and freed him. What a crazy situation, I never saw anything like this before. So finally I got some sleep and woke up a few hours later.  When daylight broke I realized I had a problem, there was no way for me to get out of the house! Every door was stuck with huge amounts of snow blocking. I thought about jumping out of a window! In the end, I took a glass storm out of my basement door as way to exit.

Once outside the snow was amazing, I remember staring at the driveway, thinking where do I start? I shoveled all day Saturday, and only made it half way in my driveway, then I got up early on Sunday, and worked throughout the day. The walls at the end of the driveway were amazing, and I just exhausting to get through. I was quite a process  but a sense of accomplishment in the end! In looking back at this week its been wild, seeing all this heavy equipment moving throughout town all times of day and night!

It has been an inconvenience for me and for everyone! But at the same time it has been so exciting to think about the weather for me all week. I will have these memories forever, as well as the pictures! This week is one of the highlights of my life as a weather fanatic!
