We started typing this report about an hour ago as we started perusing the images coming in from Russia. Within the time it took us to make coffee and sit back down, it has been confirmed that there are three meteorite strike positions! This is way too cool!
News just broke from RT Online that three distinct impact sites have been located! Two are in a frozen lake, one image above, and one in a near-by town. I quote RT:
"Army units found three meteorite debris impact sites, two of which are in an area near Chebarkul Lake, west of Chelyabinsk. The third site was found some 80 kilometers further to the northwest, near the town of Zlatoust. One of the fragments that struck near Chebarkul left a crater six meters in diameter.”
