Rain is entering the state now and will spread across the entire state soon. Litchfield County may be experiencing some mixing currently of snow, sleet, and rain. With the heavier precipitation on-going near the shore, there can be snow and sleet mixing in there as well.

Into the evening hours, there will be a changeover to a wintry mix, especially along and northwest of I-84.  If there are any coatings, then they will be found more likely in northern Connecticut. Although throughout this event, temperatures will generally remain above freezing across most areas. Through the overnight hours, there could be some areas of black ice as temperatures fall to near or below freezing.

Drier and seasonably cool weather is expected Wednesday through Friday. Into this weekend, we will be monitoring a low pressure area that could deliver a chance for rain and snow.
