This year, my concern for the environment led me to build a model Solar Updraft Tower in my front yard. A Solar Updraft Tower is one of the best options third world countries can utilize to generate electricity. It does not require water to run and it’s very green. I met with many engineers, electricians and builders who consulted with me on the project. My research proposal was submitted to MIT, Clean Energy Conference.
These photos are of the tower in progress as well as excerpts from my research plan.
