The NAM model is now showing a colder forecast, and less rain. The NAM is making some of us scratch our heads: what is going to happen? This picture is the NAM 6z model run, which paints a significant snowstorm for most of Connecticut. The average between the GFS and the NAM models for the average forecast for the shoreline would likely be a wintry mix. 0z,6z,12z and 18z NAM keep showing potentially a significant snow event for most of Connecticut with no mixing. It will be interesting to see what happens. Once the RAP model comes out tomorrow we will have a better idea of what will happen. I wouldn't recommend driving Saturday night or Sunday Morning.
