Norfolk, Connecticut is known as the icebox of the state for many reasons. Norfolk has the coldest average temperatures in the winter and summer months. For example, in January Norfolk has an average high temperature of 29 and and low temperature of 13! Now that is cold! For the hottest month of July, Norfolk has an average high of 78 and low of 59. It's the place to be for cold winters and somewhat cool summers!
When is comes to annual snowfall, Norfolk is king with an average of 90 inches a year! Its highest elevation is 1,770 ft and lowest elevation of 820 ft. Norfolk truly lives up to its name as the icebox of Connecticut!
