It was a wild start to the day!
I noticed a gust to 53mph in Bridgeport and 3.0" of snow in Hartland, Ct for a couple of highlights. Plenty of rain statewide. The rain will combine with melting snow to send small streams and rivers on the rise through this afternoon.
The heaviest area will lift north of Connecticut this afternoon and up through Massachusetts. Spotty showers likely through the afternoon and evening. This huge whirlpool pattern will be locked up across the Northeast through at least the first half of the weekend. Colder air will invade through early next week.
The European model is advertising some stormy weather possible Wednesday - Thursday next week. Plenty of time to watch that!
Please check my video for the latest on this active weather!
