Technical Discussion:
High pressure along the East Coast will keep fair skies and mild temperatures across the area. It does not look like temperatures will spike quite as high as yesterday, despite 850s around +3C. Model guidance shows more of a southeasterly component to the winds, as well as a faint inversion layer aloft. Since temperatures are also running about 3-6F cooler than 24 hours ago, will take a compromise between model guidance and yesterdays high temperatures. Highs in the graphic will range from the mid-40's at the shore to the lower 50's inland. There may be a wide spread inland as well with mid-40's to mid-50's actually verifying.
Clouds return Monday, but with more warm advection, another very mild day is forecast. If enough sunshine can break through, highs could easily reach or exceed 60 degrees.
Rain is likely on Tuesday, especially from late morning through mid-afternoon. The rain may be locally heavy at times.
Cooler conditions are expected to end the week as a trough sinks south from Canada.

Today: Sunshine mixed with a few clouds. Highs in the mid-40's to mid-50's.
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies. Lows in the low to mid-30's.
Monday: Mostly cloudy and mild. Highs near 50 shore to the mid-50's inland.
Tuesday: Periods of rain, heavy at times. Highs in the low to mid-50's.
Wednesday: Varying amounts of clouds and sun. Highs in the mid to upper 40's.
Thursday: Partly cloudy, cooler. Highs in the upper 30's to lower 40's.
Friday: Remaining partly cloudy. Highs in the low to mid-40's.

Note: Inland temperatures are an average. Often times, outlying areas may be a few degrees cooler than the advertised temperature on the 6-day graphic.
