Technical Discussion:
High pressure moves across the area today, resulting in mostly sunny skies and temperatures several degrees milder than yesterday.
Low pressure moves east off of the East Coast Friday morning. The timing has sped up on the models, but the overall track remains similar to previous forecasts. A few rain showers are probable near the shoreline, with inland areas mainly staying dry. With the system moving faster, clearing is expected by late-day Friday. This should help temperatures nudged up, so have gone a bit higher with the forecast maximum temperatures.
Cooler air advects in on Saturday, translating to seasonably cool temperatures. Despite full sunshine, highs are expected to only reach the lower 50's as 850mb temperatures fall to between -2 and -4C for most of the day. Some outlying inland areas could very well stay in the 40's.
Milder conditions are forecast for Sunday, along with a mix of sun and clouds. The day looks dry, but a frontal boundary looming to the northwest will be a player in the weather early next week.
Monday and Tuesday should be fairly mild, but there are still some variables which could result in different outcomes. MOS guidance as well as Euro grids push highs well into the 60's on Monday and up around 70 by Tuesday. However, cloud-cover and potential showers could very well keep temperatures several degrees cooler. Went close to MOS guidance on Monday, but kept the forecast a bit more conservative with highs for Tuesday, based on a higher level of uncertainty.

Today: Plenty of sunshine, milder. Highs in the low to mid-50's inland, around 50 shore.
Tonight: Increasing clouds. A shoreline shower possible late. Lows in the mid-30's to near 40.
Clouds, a few showers possible. PM clearing. Highs in the low to mid-50's.
Mostly sunny skies. Highs in the lower 50's.
Sunday: Partly sunny and milder. Highs around 60 inland, mid-50's shore.
Monday: Clouds and some sun. Highs in the mid-60's inland, near 60 shore.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, mild. Highs in the low to mid-60's.

Note: Inland temperatures are an average. Often times, outlying areas may be a few degrees cooler than the advertised temperature on the 6-day graphic.
