Spring officially began over a month ago on March 20th. After a long a relentless winter, spring took over where winter left off...day after day of unseasonably cold weather.

But once we got a few days into April, it seemed we finally turned the corner. Beginning Easter weekend we enjoyed four consecutive weekends of pleasant weather (with the exception of some rain late Easter Sunday and a few showers very early this past Saturday morning). And the month has seen plenty of 60s and 70s and even one day of record-breaking lower 80s.

Although this weekend was dry and pleasant, the mornings were a bit of a shock. On Sunday morning, we woke up to temperatures ranging from 32 to 36 degrees and this morning 32 to 39 degrees. The normal low should be in the lower 40s. Both mornings also had frost advisories.

High temperatures certainly weren't "cold," but cooler than normal. Highs on Sunday only make it up to the mid 50s and on Monday we topped out in the upper 50s, but a strong wind made it feel a lot colder. By this time in April, all of Connecticut should be in the lower 60s.
