This morning's low temperatures were a bit lower than expected for most of the region. In fact the low temperature was a record-breaking 32 at Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks. Other cold temperatures included 27 at Canton, 29 at Goshen and Willington, 30 at Southbury, and 31 at Cheshire!

Even here in Hamden, the low temperature was 37, with 33 reported nearby in North Haven!

What was interesting was a Frost or Freeze advisory was not issued for most of the state with the exception of Litchfield County, for this morning like it was yesterday morning.

Temperatures were colder and frost was more prevalent today! The winds were lower and clouds stayed away, which allowed for better radiational cooling!  So overall, it was an unexpected chill this morning that caught the National Weather Service off guard, hopefully not much damage was caused to plants and gardens across inland areas!
