The SPC severe thunderstorm outlook for Tuesday, May 21st.

Tornadoes were reported across Oklahoma on Monday and the threat is moving east.

By Tuesday, northeastern Texas and into portions of the Mississippi Valley can expect very favorable conditions for severe weather and even additional tornadoes.

Some thunderstorms are possible in Connecticut on Tuesday, although widespread severe weather is not expected. Depending on the evolution of a frontal boundary, severe thunderstorms could be possible on Wednesday and or Thursday. At this time, New York State appears to be in line for potentially severe thunderstorms on Wednesday. If there is enough daytime heating combined with a faster-than-forecast cold front on Thursday, some severe thunderstorm activity would be possible in or around Connecticut.
