Rain is gathering off to the west and moving very fast in our direction. Severe thunderstorm watches have been posted through much of Penn. I expect the rain to start lightly this morning 6:30AM-10AM. Quite heavy around midday.

Winds will be increasing too! Southeasterly winds will pick up this afternoon and shift to the east.

**Update 7:15AM-

Rain is starting to fill-in across the state. The rain will really pick up midday today. It looks like an average of 1.5" to 3" for the state...with a couple of areas possibly above 4". Rivers will be rising through Saturday Morning.

The heavy rain will wind down early tomorrow. Some strong winds are possible around daybreak tomorrow with gusts 35 to 50 mph. This could cause some power outages. Set a back-up alarm before going to sleep tonight. There could be another shower or two tomorrow evening. Nice and dry with low humidity and sunshine for Saturday!
