Another very humid weather day today. The possibility does exist for a developing thunderstorm this afternoon. We will be watching this closely. The river of humid air continues moving right up the East Coast and will do so for days ahead!

The upper level steering pattern will adjust slightly to the west over the next couple of days allowing for more sinking motion in the atmosphere. That means warmer and bright times ahead for our area. There are some strong signals for 90 degrees plus inland for many days starting with the 4th of July and going through early next week. Shoreline areas will have a breeze off of the water, but will still make 85 to 90 for quite-a-few days. There could be morning fog and low cloud layers each night and morning through the weekend. This layer will burn off 8AM-11AM each morning. Most fireworks displays will happen. One or two communities may have a passing shower or thunderstorm in the hot pattern during the late day hours.

What a day yesterday with the confirmed EF1 tornado at Windsor Locks with estimated winds of 86mph and a path of 2.5 miles. Click here for the bulletin or click this link:

Also, there are some impressive videos on and showing this tornado crossing I-91. I didn't post a link due to explicit language in the videos. You can find them at my facebook page Again, there is swearing. -Gil
