22-Day Heat Streak Ends at Bridgeport

If you thought July felt constantly warm, you were right.

Every single day in July had been above normal for temperatures in Bridgeport, up until yesterday. Count the last four days of June and there was a streak of 22 consecutive days with above normal temperatures reported at the Bridgeport reporting station.

Even with the below normal day, the month-to-date temperature departure it still 5.3 degrees above average at 79.2 degrees.

July is also on track to be the warmest on record.
The current record is 78.4 in July 1994 and July 2010 was 78.0.

We'll see if the cool-down over the next few days changes things much...
