Tropical Storm Flossie was impacting the Hawaiian Islands on Monday.

As of 4:55 p.m. EDT, a quickly weakening Tropical Storm Flossie was approaching the state of Hawaii. Most of the convection associated with Flossie is displaced well south of the actual center of low pressure. Although Hawaii does see tropical systems on occasion, it's not too often that the state takes a direct hit from a named tropical system. With that said, Flossie should be downgraded to a Tropical Depression later Monday.
