After a relatively pleasant week, even warmer air may be in the forecast.

This past week, from Monday through Friday, most areas saw high temperatures in the low to mid-80s with relatively comfortable levels of humidity. That's not bad at all, as average highs start to fall towards the upper 70s to around 80 by the end of August.

Looking ahead towards next week, there has been a strong sign on the models showing a relatively substantial warm-up. High temperatures will likely stay in the 80s for most of the upcoming week and there is a possibility that some 90s could also return.

What to expect:
High temperatures for Sunday thru Wednesday should average between 80 and 85 degrees for most inland areas. It may be slightly cooler at the shoreline. As we reach Thursday and especially Friday and Saturday, we could easily reach 85-90+ across inland CT.
