Two Tornadoes Hit in New York City

Two tornadoes were confirmed in New York City Saturday morning.
A first tornado was confirmed near Breezy Points in Queens.
This storm began as a waterspout over the New York Harbor entrance waters, sometime shortly before 11 a.m Saturday. It then moved onshore at the Breezy Point Surf Club. The storm was rated an EF-0 tornado with maximum winds of 70 MPH.
The second tornado hit Canarsie, which is located in Brooklyn, shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday. The storm was rated as an EF-1 tornado, with winds of up to 110 MPH.
This tornado caused structural damage to severage homes and buildings in the area.
The Breezy Point storm caused some damage to the local Surf Club. There were also reports of cars being moved by the tornado.
Numerous Tornado Warnings were issued across other portions of New York state, Connecticut and Massachusetts. As of Sunday morning, no additional tornadoes have been confirmed.
