A storm system is expected to bring a wintry mixture of precipitation to Connecticut on Sunday. Although the shoreline may stay mostly rain, there are some concerns about more snow and ice across northern Connecticut.
Light snow or snow showers should move into Connecticut during the morning hours on Sunday. A quick change to rain is expected near the coast, but cold air looks to stick around longer to the north.
Snow changes to freezing rain inland and there could be a period of icing, especially across northwestern and northeastern Connecticut. However, later Sunday night, warmer air is projected to change everyone over to rain.
Quincy and Erika will have more specific details later this evening as far as possible snow and ice accumulations are concerned.
