A storm system brings light snow tonight into Christmas morning, with some mixed precipitation across southern Connecticut. Then by Wednesday night, a more significant storm is expected to bring more wintry weather to the state.

Periods of light snow move into Connecticut late tonight. The snow may change to rain along the shoreline and even some rain/freezing rain is possible between I-84 and I-95.
Generally a coating to 2 inches of snow little with little or no accumulation on the shore.
Precipitation ends by lunchtime Christmas day.

More snow overspreads the state late Wednesday night and changes to rain along the shoreline, but accumulating snow is possible inland before warmer air moves in.

Stay tuned to for more details for the upcoming storms.
