James Boyle
I have been fascinated with the weather ever since I was a little kid. By the time I was 8 years old I knew I wanted to be a meteorologist. I went to Western Connecticut State University in 2005 and received my Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology in 2009. During the summer of 2008, I was lucky enough to work with Dr. Mel as his weather intern. It was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. I enjoyed every second that I was there working with him. After graduating from Western, I went on to Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. While there I worked on several research projects; including lake effect storm systems, National Lightning Detection systems, and Mesoscale convective complexes (MCC's). In December of 2011, I received my Master's degree in Applied Meteorology. Currently, I am teaching an Introduction to Meteorology course at Southern Connecticut State University. My passion weather wise is winter storms and forecasting. If you have any questions let me know!
