Sam Kantrow
Meteorologist Sam Kantrow joined Storm Team 8 in February, 2011. Born and raised in Connecticut along the shoreline, nothing fit better than working at WTNH. Sam Graduated from Western Connecticut State University in 2009 with a B.S. in Operational Meteorology and Weathercasting. A local boy through and through, Sam’s weather interest began at the ripe age of 2, when the tornado that struck Hamden narrowly missed his house! Ever since then, he has loved weather, and everything weather related. Growing up watching the meteorologists on NEWS 8, Sam notes that it feels surreal being able to work beside them. In his spare time, Sam enjoys traveling, DIY projects, carpentry, and loves cars (and weather of course), and looks forward to beating the elements with you here at WXedge. You can follow him on twitter @samkantrow for 24/7 weather updates.
